Cover charges vary by night and level: Main Bar – Ding Dong Lounge: • Tuesdays to Thursdays: Usually free entry. • Fridays & Saturdays: $5 cover is common, but it can be higher for special events. • Full-venue events (once or twice a month): $15 to $30. Upstairs – Dead Witch (Live Music Venue): • Tuesdays to Thursdays: Typically free. • Fridays & Saturdays: $10 to $30, which includes entry to Ding Dong Lounge. Pro tip: Book tickets early for discounts. Super Members (NZ$5/month) get free main bar entry most Fridays & Saturdays when booked online, plus ticket discounts and Dead Witch deals. Yes. Ding Dong Lounge is an R18 venue, and you’ll need valid photo ID to enter.

Accepted forms of ID include:

• A current passport

• A current New Zealand driver’s license

• A Hospitality NZ 18+ Card (valid for 10 years)

• A Kiwi Access Card (costs $55, valid for 10 years)

Ding Dong Lounge is a licensed venue serving alcohol, so legally, we can only allow entry to those 18 and over. No exceptions—if you're underage or lack valid photo ID, you won't get in. Check our ID requirements FAQ for accepted forms of ID.

If you think you left something at the bar, swing by and talk to our on-site staff—they're your best bet for quick help. Keep in mind, our social media and email teams aren't based at the bar, so replies might take time. If we find a phone with contact info on the lock screen, we'll try to reach out. We hold onto lost items for a reasonable time, but double-check your pockets before you leave—it saves everyone the late-night panic.

Our dress code is casual, but open footwear and scruffy appearances may result in being denied entry, depending on the discretion of our door staff. Please aim to dress impressively and expressively if possible.
