The heats are over. Now the competition gets serious.

The successful bands from the first two heats return to Dead Witch, upstairs at Ding Dong Lounge, to compete for a place in the grand final on Saturday 5 December.

Each band gets 30 minutes on stage to impress the judges. Musicianship, vocals, songwriting, originality, stage show and audience size all count, so bring your friends and make some noise for the bands.

The grand prize package includes a fully produced single with Dave Rhodes at Parachute Studios, a professionally produced music video, $1,000 cash, custom artwork and promotional support.

Band entries for the 2026 competition are open now. Find the full details, eligibility requirements and application information online.
