Ōtautahi’s OMÊKA hit Dead Witch on Friday, November 28th, launching their four-date Disciples of Agony tour across the motu. Fresh off the release of their latest single “Agony,” OMÊKA deliver a heavy blend of melodic death metal and immersive groove, known for their commanding live presence and rising influence in Aotearoa’s heavy music scene.


Joining them are three genre-defining acts, including two more from Ōtautahi making the rare trek north. Slimivich bring their signature grim-hop: a fusion of hardcore punk, politically charged rap, and electronic music, laced with grinding synths, harsh percussion, and venomous, world-weary lyrics. Lucid Shift, also from Ōtautahi, deliver emotionally charged, technically driven deathcore that blends heavy metal and hardcore punk into a dense, atmospheric assault. Pale Flag, Auckland’s heavy kings, round out the lineup with a punishing mix of metalcore and deathcore built for pit domination. This is a rare convergence of heavy hitters from Christchurch…
