Auckland’s alternative scene gains a new surge of energy this May as Ding Dong Lounge and Dead Witch host Asian Rock Night, a two‑level celebration of heavy music, indie grit, and cross‑cultural creativity. Featuring Master Frank Fu, Grapehouse, DayDreamer, and Hitokiri, plus DJs spinning Asian Rock, Alternative, and heavy hitters in the main bar, the night is designed to be loud, welcoming, and open to absolutely everyone.


This event is a city‑wide invitation.


Asian Rock Night arrives at a moment when Auckland’s music scene is hungry for something that feels fresh and expressive. The lineup reflects the diversity of the city’s creative heartbeat, bringing together artists who share roots in rock through different musical identities.

Ding Dong Lounge is Auckland's dedicated rock bar and live music venue, with the main bar downstairs and Dead Witch upstairs.

Our kitchen is open all night, with Korean Fried Chicken, Curly Fries and more. Drinks are available throughout the night, with Happy Hour from 6pm–8pm and 12am–1am.
