Ding Dong Lounge is turning the clock back to the decade of big guitar solos, power ballads, hairspray and hard rock anthems with 80s Rock Night on Saturday 21 November, featuring live performances from Auckland 80s hard rock and glam metal tribute band Maskara, DJs spinning classic rock hits all night, 80s karaoke 12am to 2am, and prizes for the best 80s rock outfits.


The 1980s were a defining decade for rock music. Bands such as Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Guns N' Roses, Poison, Whitesnake and Europe helped shape a sound built around huge choruses, screaming guitar solos and larger-than-life performances. From Sunset Strip glam metal to the hard rock anthems that filled stadiums around the world, the decade left behind a catalogue of songs that continue to get people singing along.

Ding Dong Lounge is Auckland's dedicated rock bar and live music venue, with the main bar downstairs and Dead Witch upstairs.

Our kitchen is open all night, with Korean Fried Chicken, Curly Fries and more. Drinks are available throughout the night, with Happy Hour from 6pm–8pm and 12am–1am.
