In the intimate embrace of Ding Dong Lounge, where the neon lights cast an ethereal glow, a subculture has thrived for a remarkable decade. Originating from the depths of Dead Witch in 2014, the iconic Emo Nights have seamlessly woven themselves into the vibrant tapestry of Aotearoa's diverse musical landscape.

As the tenth anniversary looms on the horizon, Ding Dong Lounge, the venerable bastion for emo enthusiasts, proudly unveils a significant expansion beyond Auckland. This isn't merely an announcement; it's the heralding of a profound celebration, a decade steeped in darkness, emotional resonance, and an unwavering dedication to the very core of emo.

Our journey commences in 2014, amidst the intimate gathering at Dead Witch, featuring renowned DJs Drew Bang, The Convent, Mosh, and Ryan Murray. Fast forward to 2023, and the Emo Nights blossomed into a formidable experience, spanning three levels at Dead Witch, Ding Dong Lounge, and AUX. The evocative melodies that echoed through these venues didn't just draw crowds; they summoned over 500 punters —a testament to the enduring love for emo culture cultivated by Ding Dong Lounge.

Enter ACT UP Entertainment, the visionary architects behind this odyssey, poised to extend the spirit of Ding Dong Lounge Emo Nights beyond Auckland's familiar boundaries. The Last Place venue in Kirikiriroa Hamilton becomes a new canvas on Friday, 23 February, promising an immersive night steeped in nostalgia and raw emotion.

Ding Dong Lounge's legacy in nurturing and championing emo culture stands unparalleled. This is not just about musical events; it's a cultural movement, a testament to the resilience and passion of New Zealand's vibrant emo community.

However, the narrative doesn't conclude there. Auckland, the birthplace of Ding Dong Lounge's Emo Nights, will host its own spectacular celebration on Saturday, 23 March. Two cities, two nights, one cohesive celebration of everything emo.

Fresh from the move from Wellington to Auckland, Holloway, the southern hemisphere's response to the emo revival, will command the center stage at the Last Place venue in Hamilton and of course Ding Dong Lounge in Auckland. This transcends the realm of a mere concert; it's a profound statement. Ding Dong Lounge Emo Nights aren't merely events; they embody the heartbeat of emo culture in Aotearoa.

In the shadows of the haunting melodies, ACT UP Entertainment stands steadfast in providing a safe and inclusive space. A zero-tolerance policy against bullying, harassment, or discrimination is in place, ensuring that every attendee can fully immerse themselves in the cathartic embrace of emo culture without fear.

Join us for an enlightening night as Ding Dong Lounge takes the Emo Night experience on the road, marking a decade of darkness and dominance in Aotearoa.
