First Place: Grapehouse

Grapehouse captivated the audience with their dynamic indie rock sound and claimed the top spot in this year's competition. Though relatively new to the scene, their performances quickly made them a standout act. Their prize package includes studio time with Dave Rhodes Productions, a music video production with Off The Ground, and promotional support from Phantom Billstickers. They will also receive single artwork and release party posters designed by Indium Design, $1,000 in cash, a JB Hi-Fi voucher, and other essential tools to help propel their music career.

Club Ruby's distinctive pop-punk/rock sound, with harmonizing vocals and an engaging stage presence, earned them second place. Their rewards include a JB Hi-Fi voucher, food and beverage vouchers at Ding Dong Lounge, and venue hire at Dead Witch for their future events.

Third Place: SuperMild

SuperMild, known for their mellow and groove-oriented ska/rock music, took third place. Their prizes feature a JB Hi-Fi voucher, food and beverage vouchers at Ding Dong Lounge, and venue hire at Dead Witch to celebrate their success.

We also want to give a shoutout to Backshotz, who made it to the grand final and delivered a memorable performance, contributing to the excitement of the competition.

This year’s event, running from June 29 to August 24, showcased a fantastic range of talent and creativity from Auckland’s up-and-coming bands. We’re proud to be a part of such a vibrant celebration of music.
