Halloween Party: Mid-Year Edition

Six months until Halloween and Auckland’s underground is already restless. Ding Dong Lounge opens both floors for a full‑scale two‑level dress‑up party that drags the spirit of October straight into May.

Upstairs, the night turns pitch‑black as Brackenwood Coven take the headline slot. A three‑piece instrumental doom/sludge force from Auckland, they specialise in slow, crushing riffs, sinister atmospheres, and soul‑obliterating heaviness. They lead the charge with a set built to swallow the room whole.

Taking the middle slot is Daedric Seer, returning to summon the void with blast beats, corpse paint, and a wall of sound that shakes the building.

Opening the upstairs stage is Terrow, delivering raw, frostbitten black metal to set the tone before the doom and chaos descend.

The night marks the midpoint of the Halloween year and the scene rises to meet it.
