More Details
Kick off Overload convention weekend with a night of Japanese music, pop culture and underground energy at Ding Dong Lounge on Friday 25 September.
ACEMETRiC make their Ding Dong debut, bringing the influence of Tokyo's underground idol scene to the stage with a mix of J-pop, metalcore and EDM. Expect cute choreography, heavy sounds and plenty of audience interaction from the four-member alt-idol group.
Yomika brings an anime, J-pop and J-rock-inspired performance, blending dreamlike soundscapes with storytelling and a distinctly theatrical approach.
Hitokiri are a five-piece Auckland J-Rock/J-Metal band bringing Japanese rock energy to the local scene, with catchy melodies, powerful riffs and an energetic live show.
Then the DJs take over.
SleepyJ brings energetic J-core and anisong beats, before Zorbo makes their DJ debut with a high-energy set of hardstyle, metal and hyperflip to close out the night.
