Fans heading to Spark Arena for Shinedown & Bush on Thursday 17 September will have somewhere to go when the final chord rings out, with Ding Dong Lounge hosting an unofficial afterparty from 10:30pm.


Located at 26 Wyndham Street, Ding Dong Lounge is around a 15-minute walk from Spark Arena and just three minutes from the new Te Waihorotiu Station.


The free, R18 afterparty will feature DJ Salty Rocket, playing a mix of hard rock, alternative metal, grunge, post-grunge and 2000s rock throughout the night.


The idea is simple: the gig finishes, the night doesn't have to.


Fans can expect plenty of Shinedown and Bush alongside the broader rock, alternative and metal tracks that fit the occasion, from big sing-alongs and 2000s rock anthems to grunge favourites and heavier cuts.


The event is free entry and R18, with the DJ starting at 11pm and continuing late into the night.
